English: Vast quantities of algae This stuff covered large areas of the concrete apron at 258843. Its consistency was like very over-cooked cabbage (very squishy) but it formed structures over 2cm tall. It seemed to do best in partial shade. I've never seen anything like this out of water. There did not appear to be a pollution source to account for this bloom so I assume that the weather was the single biggest contributor to this event. I'm categorizing this as 'Other... Algae' as Flora would be inappropriate - I'm open to suggestions there. |
