Svenska: Jetong av silver. På åtsidan en graverad bild föreställande Vega i ishavet omgiven av tjocka isstycken. Fartyget ses från babords sida. Röken, flagga och vimpel indikerar att hon rör sig åt vänster. Över bilden står längs jetongens kant texten "INVIA TENACI NULLA EST VIA" (Fritt översatt: "För den på vägen uthållige är vägen intet") Under bilden står i ett fält med horisontella bokstäver texten "ORAS ASIAE BOREALES PRIMUM CIRCUMNAVIGANTIBUS REG.ACAD.SCIENT. SVEC. MDCCCLXXIX" ("Till dem som första gången kringseglade norra Asiens kuster Kungliga Svenska Vetenskapsakademien år 1879")
