English: Vegetation Boundary Forested land between the "Paddy" trackbed and the Creetown road. A small area has been planted with broadleaf trees, a small gesture against an ocean of sitka. Crag Hill beyond.
Vegetation boundary is the term given in orienteering for a distinct change in tree type. A useful navigational feature, and one used by mappers, as they show up well in aerial photographs. |
