Kommentar: Das Münznominal Bolívar (= 100 Céntimos) ist seit 1879 die Währungsbezeichnung Venezuelas. Sie ist benannt nach dem südamerikanischen Volkshelden und Freiheitskämpfer Simón Bolívar (1783-1830) und zeigt auf der Vorderseite auch sein Porträt. Für die 1872 bis 1879 geprägten Münzen war die für Venezuela geltende Währungseinheit der Venezolano (= 5 Bolívares oder 10 Reales).
