V. imp. opt. max. victoriae, ex multis praecipuae (serietitel). Tijdens de Vrede van Venlo (1543) knielt de hertog van Gelre, Willem II, voor de troon van keizer Karel V en onderwerpt zich aan zijn macht. Hij overhandigt hem het wapenschild van Gelre. De prent heeft een Latijns onderschrift en maakt deel uit van een twaalfdelige serie over de overwinningen van Karel V. |
