English: Schematic depiction of the geologic conditions at a fault spring. Without the fault (a normal fault) the ground water would stay within the sandstone aquifer without being dammed and forced up at the fault plane.
Deutsch: Schematische Darstellung der geologischen Verhältnisse an einer Verwerfungsquelle. Ohne die Verwerfung würde das Grundwasser im Sandsteinaquifer bleiben ohne an der Störungsfläche aufgestaut zu werden und an der Oberfläche auszutreten. |
