He went on to get commissioned and spent the next four years of his career in field artillery before becoming an intelligence officer. He has deployed to Saudi Arabia, Panama, and Iraq. He first came to Afghanistan as a contractor in 2010 after retiring to continue serving as an intel officer and now assists 4th Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, Task Force Patriot, in finding the enemies of Afghanistan out of Forward Operating Base Gamberi.
