Description

Registered new to British & Commonwealth Shipping in Jun 1959, G-APTC was immediately leased to Hunting Clan Air Transport and bought by the airline not long before it was subsumed into the creation of British United Airways in Jul 1960. Late in 1966 BUA began to adopt a new livery featuring a sandstone and blue fuselage stripe and black titles and G-APTC came to Southend for its repaint by Aviation Traders. I caught it preparing to return to its normal haunts on 15 Nov. G-APTC was sold to Arkia of Israel as 4X-AVC on 16 Oct 1969, but crashed on a night training flight from Tel Aviv just ten days later.
