Description
English: The Victor A. Perretta Twin Towers, 509 2nd Street at Elizabeth Street, Utica, New York, as seen in September 2021. Modernist in style with a hint of Brutalist influence, these ten-story residential high-rises were built in 1972. The towers are faced in ribbed panels of precast concrete, with cruciform floor plans that feature projecting central elements on each face with columns of windows running vertically up its entire height. They are operated by the Utica Municipal Housing Authority (whose onetime head is the complex's namesake) as affordable apartments for fixed-income tenants.
