English: View across fields This photograph shows the view across the fields from the Sampsonfield 316202 toward where The Five Pits Trail and Dark Lane junctions with 314809.
The area shown is the start of the River Rother, which, during wet weather, runs as a narrow stream through the scrub running across the centre of the picture. To the right of the photograph the River Rother runs under a small brick and concrete bridge carrying a 316167 before running along the southern boundary of 326966. Where the southern boundary of the field meets the western boundary the stream enters a culvert some 450 metres long before it reappears on the western side of the village.
