The view along the wide brick walkway is framed by arching trees and pruned shrubs.

Montrose Park. The view down the Ropewalk from the R Street entrance appears much as it did during the period of significance. It it a strong visual axis, lined by a row of mature Osage orange trees and bordered by a hedge.
