English: View of docks, Kirkland, ca. 1909
Description
English: In the early 1900s, most people traveled to and from Kirkland, Washington by water. They could cross Lake Washington on a King County ferry or catch one of John Anderson's fleet of steamers.

This photographic postcard, probably made around 1909, shows the Kirkland waterfront on Lake Washington with its two docks. A small steamer is tied up at the Anderson dock (right). The county ferry dock can be seen to the left, beyond the large building.
