English: "View of the west end of St John's Church, Calcutta, showing houses fronting onto the churchyard and the Rohilla monument," watercolour, by Amelia Rebecca Prinsep, member of the Prinsep family, an Anglo-Indian family which included merchants, scholars and artists. The painting is dated 1830, and carries this inscription: " 'Calcutta. From W. Prinsep by E.R. Prinsep' and on the original mount: 'William's House. Charles's House St John's Church'. The homes she refers to are those of her brothers Charles Prinsep and William Prinsep. Courtesy of the British Library, London.
