English: The Villa Schröckenfux at Roßleithen, Upper Austria, is protected as a cultural heritage monument. The villa was built in 1900. Deutsch: Die Villa Schröckenfux, Roßleithen in Oberösterreich, steht unter Denkmalschutz.
Von der Infotafel: Gottlieb Schröckenfux hatte 1879 das Gusstahl- und Sensenwerk Franz de Paul Schröckenfux übernommen. Er modernisierte das Werk durch den Bau von Turbinen und Arbeiterwohnhäusern und versiebenfachte die Tagesproduktion. Damit wurde das Werk Roßleithen das damals größte Sensenwerk in Oberösterreich. Aus der Sensenschmiede war ein Industriebetrieb geworden. As nunmehr 'Industrieller' ließen Gottlieb und Rosina Schröckenfux im Jahr 1900 in größerer Entfernung von ihrem Werk eine luxuriöse Villa bauen. Es gab eine Wasserleitung mit Fließwasser, einen doppelwandigen 'Eiskeller', für die Vorräte je einen eigenen Obst-, Most-, Milch- und Gemüsekeller, eine 'Grotte' mit Sitzplatz und für das Heizmaterial einen Holz- und Kohlenkeller. Im Erdgeschoss befand sich eine Kleinwohnung für die Köchin sowie die Küche, eine Stube, ein Salon, eine großzügige Diele mit Treppenaufgang, ein Wohnzimmer, ein Speisezimmer und ein Erker. Im Obergeschoss waren die Schlafzimmer für die Hausbewohner und für die Gouvernante untergebracht. In allen Wohngeschossen befanden sich WC's und das Haus hatte 13 Kaminzüge! Den Bauplan verfasste der Linzer Baumeister Johann Kreischer, die Bauarbeiten wurden unter Maurermeister Franz Wagner aus Windischgarsten ausgeführt. Auch der Garten war besonders gestaltet: An der Südseite gab es ein Wasserbecken mit Springbrunnen, einen Alpengarten und einen großen Obstgarten. Das ganze Areal wurde umzäunt und das Garteneinfahrtstor durch ein Einfahrtsgitter, flankiert von zwei Betonsäulen, versperrt. Am 1. Mai 1992 brach im Dachgeschoss der Villa ein Brand aus, dem der Dachstuhl und ein großer Teil der Inneneinrichtung zum Opfer fielen. Bei der Wiederinstandsetzung wurde die Villa zu einer Pension umgebaut. Im Jahr 2004 ersteigerte die Bausparkasse Wüstenrot die Villa im Exekutionsweg, die seit der 1687 andauernde Ära Schröckenfux ging in Roßleithen zu Ende. |
