Deutsch: Soldatendenkmal 1940-45, Villigerfeld AG, Schweiz: Ernst Leu (1913-1994), Kunstmaler: Das Denkmal zeigt im Vordergrund zehn arbeitende Wehrmänner, die sich auf den Bau eines Befestigungswerks konzentrieren. Flankiert werden sie von einem Soldaten mit Gewehr. Im Hintergrund rechts symbolisiert eine Schweizer Frau mit Kind im Arm, die schutzbedürftige Familie. Im Hintergrund links pflügt ein Bauer, der für die Ernährung der Bevölkerung sorgt. Gemeinsam manifestieren sie den Wehrwillen, die Grenzen des Landes und seine Bevölkerung bis zuletzt zu verteidigen. |
