Fotografía: Ángel Cantrero / 19-1-2014 - Se celebró esta jornada mundial que en 2014 cumple su centenario: fue Benedicto XV, en 1914, quien convocó la primera Jornada Mundial del Emigrante y del Refugiado . En ocasión tan señalada, la Conferencia Episcopal Española ha promovido especialmente la jornada con el lema "Ha100do un mundo mejor" y con el vídeo "Un solo corazón". En la diócesis de Valladolid se celebró la Eucaristía presidida por el arzobispo de Valladolid, D. Ricardo Blázquez, en la parroquia del Santísimo Salvador. En su homilía destacó la realidad de los inmigrantes "que viven junto a nosotros, a veces con grandes dificultades, lejos de sus países de origen". La celebración contó con una amplia participación de la comunidad dominicana en Valladolid, que conmemoró el día de la patrona de su país, la Virgen de Altagracia, cuya imagen se encuentra en una de las capillas de la iglesia del Santísimo Salvador. |
