DescriptionVisitors from Capitol Hill, the research community and NSF check out R-V Sikuliaq during the ship’s visit to Woods Hole (14992871562).jpg |
The Research Vessel (R/V) Sikuliaq stopped at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) in August 2014 for some final outfitting, and the stopver provided an opportunity for visitors from Capitol Hill, the research community and the National Science Foundation to check out NSF’s newest research vessel. Once on board, the visitors explored the ship’s main deck. For more on the Sikuliaq, including a clip of the launch, check out this video. And for more on the port visit at Woods Hole, see NSF’s press release. Credit: Karen Pearce, National Science Foundation |
