Summary edit

Description
English: View of La Petite Suisse near Maastricht, the Netherlands. The villa was built in 1862 by the local industrialist Petrus Regout. It was used in the 1860s as a hotel and restaurant. In 1880 Regout had the building replaced by the current villa designed by the architect Wilhelm Wickop from Aachen. The print was made by an unknown artist for an album that Regout - owner of several estates in this area - had put together in 1865 for family and friends.
