Summary edit

Description
English: this is a composition of CDIAC ice core extracted data for looking back up to 245,000 years up to 185,000 years back into the worlds climate.

the curves are:

  • blue: temperature variation
  • green: atmospheric CO2 concentration
the diagram shows how temperature changes lead the CO2 changes. the thesis behind is that the temperature drives oceans to quickly emit CO2 (as in a glass of soda). after a temperature rise the the CO2 level stays relatively steady until bigger temperature declines force CO2 level to slowly follow.
