Description |
English: (recently rotated: (25 June 2012)-(Tall strokes, at individual 'cuneiform character groups', right, when the group ends with a vertical stroke)--Cuneiform characters with the vertical, "tall", or long stroke, is found, often, at the right of a "cuneiform block", (or the end of the block) of characters. The stone artifact was originally placed upside down for the photo, at the Louvre.
The lines of text are read left-to-right, starting at top left corner. (NOTE, the photographed FACE, is not completely flat, but 2 and 1/2 lines of text are, on a "flat, in-focus section".) Stone with a votive inscription with the name of Nazi-Maruttash, son of Kurigalzu II. Babylonian artwork, Kassite period.
