Summary edit

Description
English: Dedicated to the sanctuary of Demeter and Kore at Eleusis, it represents a scene from the mystery ritual. At left Demeter holding a scepter offers ears of wheat to Triptolemos, son of the Eleusian king Keleos, to bestow on mankind. At right Persephone, holding a torch, blesses Triptolemos with her right hand. This relief was famous in antiquity and copied in roman times.
