Description A U.S. Navy Vought SB2U-2 Vindicator (BuNo 1369) of scouting squadron VS-72 taxis at Naval Air Station Norfolk, Virginia (USA), in January 1941. Note the Neutrality Patrol Markings. Established in 1940, VS-72 eventually transitioned to Douglas SBD Dauntless, and operated from the aircraft carrier USS Wasp (CV-7) in support of the invasion of Guadalcanal in August 1942.
