Description Au XIXème siècle, Lower Manhattan est déjà un quartier très actif, mais trop étriqué pour caser tous les financiers et négociants. Le problème trouve sa solution dans une révolution architecturale : le building. Néanmoins, Wall Street ne prend son véritable essor de place financière qu'après la Seconde Guerre mondiale.
