Deutsch: Querschnitt eines wassergefilterten Infrarot-A-Strahlers (Hydrosun, Müllheim, Deutschland). Die gesamte inkohärente nicht-polarisierte Breitband-Strahlung einer 3000-Kelvin-Halogen-Lampe tritt durch eine Küvette, die Wasser enthält, das die unerwünschten Wellenlängen innerhalb des Infrarot mindert oder herausfiltert (die meisten Teile des Infrarot B und C und die Wasserabsorptionsbanden innerhalb des Infrarot A). Das Wasser ist hermetisch in der Küvette eingeschlossen. Ein Lüfter kühlt die Küvette per Luftstrom und verhindert so ein Kochen des Wassers.
English: Cross-section of a water-filtered infrared-A radiator (Hydrosun, Müllheim, Germany). The complete incoherent non-polarized broadband radiation of a 3000 Kelvin halogen bulb is passed through a cuvette containing water, which absorbs or reduces the undesired wavelengths within the infrared region (most parts of infrared-B and -C and the absorption bands of water within infrared-A). The water is hermetically sealed within the cuvette. A fan provides air cooling of the cuvette to prevent the water from boiling. |
