| Description |
L'origen del castell es pot situar cap el 1150. Es troba documentat des del 1210.Durant la guerra civil del segle XV, el castell va ser un nucli important d'oposició al rei Joan II.Durant el segle XIX, en temps de les guerres carlines, el castell va patir diverses modificacions en la seva estructura. L'any 1874 es va aixecar la torre.Després de la desamortització del 1835, la propietat va passar dels bisbes de Barcelona a la Nació i més tard, va ser venut a la família Sanahuja, que encara el conserva en propietat.Al llarg del segle XX, perduda la seva funció de castell, s'ha anat deteriorant progressivament i en part, ha estat adaptat com a habitatge.
