Description
English: A Victorian Birmingham City Police police station lamp in the collection of the West Midlands Police Museum, Sparkhill Police Station, Birmingham. The lamp is 5 feet 9 inches (1.75 m) high from base to the tip of the spike, weighs 1 cwt (112 pounds, 51 kg) and was illuminated by 6 gas mantles. The red globe indicates that the police station also housed the local fire engine.
