Norsk bokmål: Foto fra Karl Johans gate i Oslo i 1940, det første året av den tyske invasjonen og okkupasjonen av Norge under andre verdenskrig. Bildet viser det nasjonalsosialistiske Tysklands nasjonalflagg med hakekors utenfor Deutsches Haus («Det tyske hus») i Oslo Handelsstands Forenings lokaler i Karl Johans gate 37. En tysk militærbil produsert av Horch (med registreringsnummer WH-199763 for tjeneste i Wehrmacht) parkert foran i bildet. I bygget ved siden av ligger blant annet Søstrenes Larsens Hotel, Norsk Musikk Forlag, Karl Johan Teatret og Sønnichsen & Co. Tilbakeblikk: Karl Johans gate 37 under krigen: 14. juni 1940 meddelte Josef Terboven, rikskommissær for de okkuperte norske områder, at tyske myndigheter ville rekvirere Karl Johans gate 37 til «offiserkasino». OHFs kontorlokaler skulle altså brukes til klubbvirksomhet og festarrangement, og en eksklusiv tysk restaurant flyttet inn. På balkongen ble hakekorsflagget heist, og bygget ble døpt «Deutsches Haus». Fotografiet er tatt av Henriksen & Steen. Kopien er henta fra Nasjonalbibliotekets bildesamling og er beskåret.
