Description
English: Troops of the Wehrmacht, the military forces of Nazi Germany, at Akershus fortress in Oslo, Norway on April 9, 1940, the first day of the German invasion and occupation of Norway in World War II. The soldiers are equipped with greatcoats, steel helmets, jack boots, Karabiner 98k rifles, MG34 machine guns, field gear, etc. Norwegian buses for military transport.

Norsk bokmål: Foto fra Festningsplassen på Akershus festning i Oslo 9. april 1940, under den tyske invasjonen og okkupasjonen av Norge under andre verdenskrig. Soldater fra Wehrmacht, det nazistiske Tysklands militære styrker, inntar og besetter hovedstaden. Soldatene er utstyrt med side frakker, båtluer (feltluer), høye støvler og feltutrustning. De har satt fra seg stålhjelmer, våpen (Karabiner 98k-rifler og MG34-maskingeværer) og noe ammunisjon på bakken. De fem bussene er norske.
