English: Troops of the German army (Wehrmacht) with draft horses move equipment etc. through the Kristian Augusts gate Street in central Oslo, Norway in 1940, during the first days of the German invasion and occupation of Norway in World War II. The soldiers are equipped with greatcoats, steel helmets, and Karabiner 98k rifles. Pedestrians on the pavement are watching. The building to the right is the National Gallery of Norway.
Norsk bokmål: Foto fra den tyske invasjonen og okkupasjonen av Norge under andre verdenskrig i 1940. Tropper i no:WehrmachtI, det nazistiske Tysklands militære styrker, med vogner og trekkhester kjører i Kristian Augusts gate i Oslo sentrum. Soldatene er bevæpna med Mauser-geværer ([|:no:Karabiner 98k]]-rifler), er kledt i side frakker og støvler, og har stålhjelmer. Gata har brolegningsstein, og folk har stoppa opp på fortauet, og kommet ut av et konditori, for å se på følget av militære hestekjøretøyer. Bak sees nordre fasade av Nasjonalgalleriet fra 1882. Fotografiet er tatt av Henriksen & Steen. Kopien er henta fra Nasjonalbibliotekets bildesamling og er beskåret.
