English: Embarquement sur les navires, début juin 1944 - Opération Overlord
Jeeps embarquées sur le LCT Channel Fever, la jeep "ASP-II" fait partie d'une unité de blindés, l'autre du 5th ESB elle dispose d'une peinture "VESICANT DETECTOR M5" qui change de couleur au contact d'agents chimiques. La disposition de l'étoile, bien que peu habituelle, permet lorsque le pare-brise est abaissé de ne pas masquer l'insigne de nationalité, évite aussi de repeindre sur la housse de pare brise l'étoile blanche. Ici le but évident est de permettre au chauffeur lorsqu'il roule pare brise baissée de voir toute modification de la couleur de la peinture de détection des gaz. Petite précision, au vue du sens d'embarquement des véhicules sur le LCT(6), ceux ci vont être transportés jusqu'à un navire plus important pour faire la traversée. S'ils avaient fait la traversée sur le LCT, ils seraient montés en marche arrière. Au fond sur un LCM de l'USS Thurston (AP-77) embarque un GMC avec un avion d'observation d'artillerie L-4 démonté dans sa caisse cargo. Au fond, sous réserve, le LCT- 30, dont le chargement est recouvert d'un filet de camouflage. Il sautera sur une mine à Omaha le 6 juin 1944 après avoir reçu un obus de 88.
