English: Photo taken at the Lofoten War Memorial Museum (Norwegian: Lofoten Krigsminnemuseum) in Svolvær, Norway's largest exhibition of uniforms and smaller items related to the Second World War and the German occupation of Norway 1940 – 1945:
Hans Kossatz's drawing of a laughing sawfish (lachender Sägefisch) was taken from the Berlin magazine Erika – Die frohe Zeitung für Front und Heimat. It was painted as the mascot emblem on the German submarine U-96, and from 1942 became the symbol for the 9th U-boat Flotilla.
