English: German caricature of Napoleon regarding the political situation at the end of 1813 - beginning of 1814
Deutsch: Wahre Abbildung des Eroberers Napoleon Bonaparte, Kaiser der Franzosen. Anno 1815, german caricature. Contemporary legend: "Wahre Abbildung des Eroberers Napoleon Bonaparte, Kaiser der Franzosen. Anno 1815. Der Hut ist Preußens Adler, welcher mit seinen Krallen den Großen gepackt hat. Das Gesicht bilden einige der Leichen von denen Hunderttausende, welche seine Rhumsucht opferte. Der Kragen ist der große Blutstrom, welcher für seinen Ehrgeiz so lange fliessen mußte. Der Rock ist ein Stück der Landkarte des aufgelösten Rheinbundes, an allen zu lesenden Orten verlohr er Schlachten, das rothe Bändchen bedurfte des erklärenden Ortes wol nicht mehr. Der große Ehrenlegionsorden ist ein Spinnengewebe dessen Fäden über den ganzen Rheinbund ausgespannt waren, allein in der Epaulette ist die mächtige Gotteshand ausgestreckt welche das Gewebe zerreißt, womit Deutschland umgarnt war, und die Kreuzspinne zernichtet, die da ihren Sitz hat, wo ein menschliches Herz seyn sollte. Der Lorbeerkranz zusammengesetzt aus Menschenschädel und Knochen, wird statt der Schleife von zwei seiner treuesten Generalen Davoust und Vandamme gehalten."
