| Description |
English: Walton Road. Walton Road crosses the training grounds on the downs, which are open to the public but also used for training race horses. In the middle foreground can be seen two red markers, which show the route to be taken by horses in training (the route is frequently varied, to minimise damage to the turf). The route crosses over Walton Road between the white rails (just visible), and wood chips are temporarily spread on the road surface to provide grip and continuity for the horses. To north: 796610; to south 796620. |
