Vor transparentem Hintergrund zeigt dieses kleine symbolische Wappenschild einen Bergischen Löwen.

Ich habe den unter Verwendung mehrerer Vorlagen nachgezeichnet, auf einem UMAX Astra 1220U eingescannt, aus dem Bildschirmspeicher kopiert, mit Betriebssystemmitteln herunterskaliert, danach noch etwas grob zurechtgepixelt.

Die Bildqualität ist mäßig.

Dieses Bild ist nicht dafür gedacht, ein real existierendes Wappen wiederzugeben, sondern nur ein Bildelement (schwarz bewehrter doppelt beschwänzter stehender roter Löwe) in einer bestimmten typischen Haltung und Darstellungsform. Es ist möglich, daß der Bergische Löwe in seiner aufrechten Form auf silbernem Grund zu irgendeiner Zeit im Wappenschild der Grafen vom Berg so oder ähnlich geführt wurde und auch allein stand. Da ich die alten Bergischen Wappen nicht kenne, kann ich dazu nichts sagen. In den aktuellen Bergischen Gemeindewappen kommt er meist entweder in laufender Haltung vor oder als "Brustbild" in der oberen Hälfte des Wappenschildes.
