Object history	Deutsch: Das am 11. November 1951 vom Präsidenten des Niedersächsischen Verwaltungsbezirks Oldenburg verliehene Wappen zeigt den Kniphauser Löwen. Das Fürstenhaus derer von Innhausen und Knyphausen ist mit der Gemeinde eng verbunden. Der Stammvater des Fürstengeschlechts Grote Onken, lebte in Sengwarden; sein Sohn Iko zog später nach Inhausen und benannte sich mit seinem Sohn Alke nach diesem Dorf. Das Wappen wurde von der ehemaligen Großgemeinde Kniphausen übernommen.
