Description
The molasse relief represents the coat of arms of the State of Fribourg (black and silver). It is made up of two blocks of molasse placed one on top of the other. In a rectangular frame stand two lions, one holding a sword, both present a large cartouche with the cantonal coat of arms, crowned with a diadem and placed on a smaller cartouche bearing the date of execution. It is a work of craftsmanship, probably made by the chisel of Nicolas Kessler.
