| Description |
English: Carl Lutz on the stairs of Gellért Hill looking down on the Tabán neighbourhood and the Royal Palace in 1946. The Serbian Orthodox Cathedral of St Demetrius in the foreground has lost its roof and spire, the Roman Catholic Church of St Catherine of Alexandria survived the war in a better shape. The Tabán Park is still rather barren and there is a depot of building materials next to the ruins of Szent Imre gyógyfürdő.
Magyar: Carl Lutz a Gellért-hegy lépcsőjén 1946-ban, a háttérben a Tabán és a Királyi Palota. A szerb Szent Demeter-székesegyháznak hiányzik a teteje és a toronysisakja, a katolikus Szent Katalin-templom jobb állapotban vészelte át a háborút. A tabáni park még meglehetősen kopár, a Szent Imre gyógyfürdő romjai mellett építőanyagokat rakodtak le. |
