Deutsch: Blick vom Damm der Rurtalsperre auf das Wasserkraftwerk Schwammenauel. Das Kraftwerk besitzt eine Francis-Turbine und dient der Deckung des Spitzenstrombedarfs. Es leistet im Mittel eine Jahresarbeit von fast 25 Mio. Kilowattstunden. Die maximale Leistung bei entsprechendem Wasserdruck (Stauhöhe) und großer Wasserabgabe (ca. 32 m³/s) beträgt 15.000 kW = 20.000 PS! |
