Description
English: Thank you for your interest in our biennial publication, which is designed to acquaint you with

many of the U.S. Army’s current and future weapon systems and equipment programs. We are three years into our biggest transformational change in the last four decades to modernize and build a multidomain-capable force. Additionally, we are coming out of one of our most challenging times in recent history, as we continue to work closely with industry to maintain program schedules while keeping our workforces and their families safe during the global pandemic. Our commitment to maintain overmatch and decisive technological advantages against adversaries on the battlefields of today and tomorrow is unwavering. Warfighters depend on us to get the right equipment into their hands at the right time to deter conflict or fight and win our Nation’s wars. Details within this handbook include program descriptions, status and specifications, projected activities, benefits to the Soldier, as well as names and locations of the Army’s industry partners, to help you gain a better understanding of our collaborative efforts to empower, unburden, and protect our men and women in uniform. This year, we added a special section on the U.S. Army Futures Command and its Cross-Functional Teams to illustrate how we are working together to facilitate early and continuous teaming across the enterprise to enable the Army to achieve its modernization goals with greater speed, efficiency, and effectiveness. In all our efforts, we are ever mindful that our most important asset is our people. They are essential to modernization. Our workforce professionals, both military and civilian, are charged with ensuring our organizations, policies, processes, and programs that consume time, money, and manpower deliver real value to the Soldiers we serve and the taxpayers who support us. We hope you will find the “U.S. Army Weapon Systems Handbook 2020-2021” an informative and

valued resource.
