Summary edit

Description Built around 1780 by Ebenezer Webster, father of Daniel Webster. The house stood in this configuration until the 1790s, when it was removed and incorporated into the new, larger house of Captain Steven Sawyer. In 1910, the original location was rediscovered and cleared, and the remaining portion of the original house was relocated back to its original site, with it being restored with extensive artistic license according to surviving accounts, archaeological evidence, and houses in the region from the period.
