Money Increases InSwimming Pool Fund The Swimming Pool fund was ini-tiated by Miss Amy Morris Homans.in 1909, when the Boston NormalSchool of Gymnastics of which shewas director was made the Depart-ment of Hygiene and Physical Edu-cation at Wellesley College. In 1914, following the burning ofCollege hall, Miss Homans was askedto refrain from raising funds for aSwimming Fool, and lend support tothe Fire Fund and later to theSemi-Centennial drive. After the Semi-Centennial Fundwas completed the interest of the un-dergraduates and their friends againcentered on the Swimming Pool.
