| Description |
English: Welshpool railway station (site), Powys Opened in 1862 by the Shrewsbury & Welshpool Railway which became part of the Cambrian Railway empire, on the line from Shrewsbury to Machynlleth. View south west towards Forden and Machynlleth. In the 1990s, the railway was moved a few metres to the left, just out of view, to allow the road to be built here (see SJ2207 : Welshpool railway station (site), Powys, 1981 for an earlier view). A new station was built, behind the camera position, leaving the old building as a retail outlet. |
