English: Looking southwest at the intersection of Independence Avenue SW and Maine Avenue SW in Washington, D.C., in the United States.
Independence Avenue curves north to avoid the Sidney R. Yates Federal Building, and then south again to travel due west to its terminus. Shortly after passing 15th Street SW, Independence Avenue SW reaches a stoplight which governs the intersection with eastbound Maine Avenue SW. The Tidal Basin is visible in the distance. |
