DescriptionWesterdam in Costa Maya 001.jpg |
Westerdam is a Holland America Line cruise ship, carrying 1,900 passengers and a crew of 800. It was built in 2004. The ship is 934 ft (285 m) long, has 11 passenger decks, and is rated aat 82,500 tons. It is in the same class as Zuiderdam, which we took on a Panama Canal cruise in 2008. This view shows where I watched the Zuiderdam's progress through the Panama Canal. I started on deck 4, the brown area at the top of the hull. The area was full, and I had to stand on a chair to see anything. I saw people on the decks above. After the ship went through the first lock, I went to deck 7, just below the bridge (the green stripe. |
