| Description |
English: Westmill wind farm, Watchfield - a new landmark. In just over a week the wind farm at Watchfield has risen from the ground. This period is almost the culmination of several years of controversy over planning and other issues. The week does not of course include several weeks of preparatory work such as laying the foundations and installing the cabling, but that work went on largely unnoticed. The farm comprises 5 turbines with an output of about 6 megawatts. The farm to the right of centre is Hill Farm at SU218814. The lateral distance from the viewpoint to the windfarm is about 11 kilometres. Next image 674586 |
