Description
English: Info from Flickr: "Whakatane River with bridge under construction. A group of men are working on the underside from a barge. Photographed by William Archer Price circa 1910s."

Men are working from a small boat under the bridge. Another group of men with horses and a buggy are crossing the river by barge. The bridge was opened in March 1911. Photo most likely taken in 1910 or 1911. (The bridge was demolished in 1984 and the river has been rerouted from this location.)
