Description
English: The Whipple Company Store is located in Scarbo, West Virginia. It is the only remaining coal company store in West Virginia built in this hexagonal shape. It currently functions as a heritage center with a museum and guided tours. In 2011, Preservation Alliance of West Virginia listed this property to its Endangered Properties List. As of 2012, it is on its way to being saved and completely stabilized.
