Summary edit

Description
English: Whitchurch Silk Mill is the oldest silk mill in the UK still in its original building. It is a Georgian water mill that weaves silk using 19th century machinery. At one time the silk cloth used in Judges' Robes and other official regalia was made here. Now run by a heritage trust, Silk is still woven and visitors can watch the looms at work and even try a bit of weaving for yourself.
