Deutsch: Das Grabdenkmal des „Türkensiegers“ Graf Ernst Rüdiger von Starhemberg in der Wiener Schottenkirche.
Das bedeutendste Grabdenkmal in der Schottenkirche (und eines der schönsten barocken Grabdenkmäler Wiens) ist jenes des Grafen Ernst Rüdiger von Starhemberg (1638–1701), des Verteidigers Wiens in der Zweiten Türkenbelagerung (1683), für welches Joseph Emanuel Fischer von Erlach (vermutlich) den Entwurf lieferte. Hauptfigur des Denkmals ist die personifizierte Stadt Wien/Vindobona in Gestalt einer mit der Spitze des Stephansturmes gekrönten Frau und auf deren Schild, in einem Relief der Graf porträtiert ist. Schild und Graf werden gleichgesetzt: Der Graf ist der Schild Wiens, ihr Beschützer und Verteidiger. Errichtet wurde das Denkmal im Auftrag von Starhembergs Witwe, er selbst ist in der Krypta der Schottenkirche bestattet. Das Grabdenkmal wurde 2016 aufwändig restauriert und am 16.
