Description

Deutsch: Psychiatrisches Krankenhaus, Heil- und Pflegeanstalt der Stadt Wien - Das Beschäftigungshaus wird seit jeher zur Beschäftigung von Patienten genutzt. Zur Zeit der Errichtung des Krankenhauses war es noch notwendig und üblich, Patienten zur Mitarbeit in den anstaltseigenen Betrieben heranzuziehen. In den 1960er-Jahren begann die therapeutische und rehabilitative Wirkung solcher Arbeiten in den Vordergrund zu rücken, schließlich wurde mit der Psychiatriereform 1979 die Patientenmitarbeit zur Aufrechterhaltung des Betriebes gänzlich eingestellt. Das Beschäftigungshaus wird seither für arbeits- und beschäftigungstherapeutische Zwecke genutzt.
